TPR Polyclonal AntibodyE-AB-16664
Product Type: Antibody
Descritpion: This gene encodes a large coiled-coil protein that forms intranuclear filaments attached to the inner surface of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs). The protein directly interacts with several components of the NPC. It is required for the nuclear export of mRNAs and some proteins. Oncogenic fusions of the 5' end of this gene with several different kinase genes occur in some neoplasias.
Research Areas: Cancer, Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling, Signal transduction
Recommended Dilutions: IHC 1:25-1:100
Size: 200 uL
Gene Accession: NP_003283
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of human TPR
Formulation: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, PH7.3
Purification: Affinity purification
Tissue Specificity/Positive Control: Highest in testis, lung, thymus, spleen and brain, lower levels in heart, liver and kidney.
Cellular Localization: Nucleus>nuclear pore complex. Nucleus membrane. Chromosome>centromere>kinetochore. The assembly of the NPC is a stepwise process in which Trp-containing peripheral structures assemble after other components, including p62. Detected at kinetochores during prometaphase.
Storage: Store at -20C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
