KL Polyclonal AntibodyE-AB-17396
Product Type: Antibody
Descritpion: This gene encodes a type-I membrane protein that is related to beta-glucosidases. Reduced production of this protein has been observed in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF), and this may be one of the factors underlying the degenerative processes (e.g., arteriosclerosis, osteoporosis, and skin atrophy) seen in CRF. Also, mutations within this protein have been associated with ageing and bone loss.
Research Areas: Cancer, Metabolism, Developmental biology, Signal transduction
Recommended Dilutions: WB 1:200-1000, ELISA 1:1000-2000
Size: 200 uL
Gene Accession: NP_004786
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of human KL
Formulation: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, PH7.3
Purification: Affinity purification
Calculated MW: 62 kDa
Tissue Specificity/Positive Control: Present in cortical renal tubules (at protein level). Soluble peptide is present in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. Expressed in kidney, placenta, small intestine and prostate. Down-regulated in renal cell carcinomas, hepatocellular carcinomas, and in chronic renal failure kidney.
Cellular Localization: Secreted and Cell membrane. Isoform 1 shedding leads to a soluble peptide.
