Descritpion: This gene encodes a protein that is phosphorylated during mitosis. The protein localizes to the nucleolus during interphase and to the chromosomes during M phase. The protein associates with the U3 small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein 60-80S complexes and may be involved in pre-rRNA processing.MPHOSPH10 (M-Phase Phosphoprotein 10) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are rRNA processing in the nucleus and cytosol and Gene Expression. GO annotations related to this gene include poly(A) RNA binding.

Cellular Localization: Nucleus>nucleolus. Chromosome. Fibrillar region of the nucleolus. After dissolution of the nucleolus in early M phase becomes associated with chromosomes through metaphase and anaphase. In telophase localized to small cellular prenucleolar bodies that not always contain fibrillarin. The reassociation with nucleolus is preceeded by the arrival of fibrillarin.
Storage: Store at -20C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
